ESCAPE FROM SECBASE II by Don Sielke Welcome to the first "homebrew" replacement level for LucasArts' Dark Forces. This level is to be distributed at NO charge, but only in its entirety. It took MANY hours to develop so please do not alter, modify or damage these files without the consent of the developer. Files needed for the level: Secbase.o Secbase.inf Secbase.lev Readthis.txt (this file) How to use these files: In order to play Escape from SecBase II, you must have a full copy of Dark Forces. When you run the game it searches for levels in the directory where you have installed the game. To install the new level, simply copy all of the files listed above into this directory (usually C:\DARK), and start the game as normal. Select SECBASE (Level 1) and you'll find a new mission. When you are tired of this level, you can remove it by deleting the files listed above from your Dark Forces directory. Note: Changing the difficulty setting in the game will not affect the difficulty of this new level - you will have to deal with ALL that I have thrown at you! Also, I opted not to have the game recognise any goals so it can not be used to get you through any existing level you are having trouble with. The Story: After a long battle, the Empire has captured your ship. You have so far evaded them, but now you must get your ship back to escape from this Imperial base. Your mission? Find the key that will get your ship back! From the Developer: I will develop more levels in the future and would appreciate any input. Graphic sketches of level ideas would be very helpful.
